Chevy Chase
American comedian, writer, and television and film actor. Cornelius Crane Chase gained national prominence as one of the original cast members for theSaturday Night Live television series. He left the show during its second season in 1976 to pursue a career in film, although he was awarded several Emmys and Golden Globe Awards for both his writing and live comic acting. His film career brought him much success, at the height of which he earned around $7 million per film; but his career took a downturn in the 1990s.
