Laid in is hand-written letter by author, Michael Jennings, noting "Unfortunately there were printing errors, most of which I've corrected in pencil. " Michael Jennings graduated from Penn as an English major and went to Syracuse University for graduate work in creative writing. Jennings' interest in animals began in southwestern Iran where he broke and trained horses, owned gazelles, a mongoose, and numerous dogs.
