Dial Books Later Printing Hardcover 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 156 pages; Lester shares narratives of those who were slaves, told to members of the American Anti-Slavery Society and other abolitionist groups during the first half of the 19th century. Lester has edited these stories to make them easier to read today.
