Wendy Lindstrom spent her early years in the country with her five brothers
and two sisters, climbing apple trees and playing in the life-sized covered
wagon her father built. She was a dreamer and a talker and made up enough
stories to drive her siblings nuts. Her mother finally gave her a diary and
there began her life as a writer, although she didn't realize it until much
later in life.
